This little holiday trip was a nice way to figure out how my new camera works. It works. It is confusing to me, I need less (and better) options.
So, Montréal was filled with friends.
... and New York. The Big Apple. It actually is an impressive city.
The streets are narrow and the buildings are tall. So it makes one feel fat and short.
After much deliberation, we decided to spend New Year's on Time Square, along with another million people. Well, it turned out to be 16 streets from Time Square... We didn't see a thing but had a pretty good time.
PS. I don't understand how this works.

I feel, in regard to that car-stacking thingie, that each car-platform must slide up and down those posts. The two options that I can see are that either the cars on the bottom must leave for the cars on top to depart (so that the platforms can reach the ground where they fold up like a slinky) or there is a similar structure belowground. If that is the case, then the cars could depart at any time by moving the entire structure up or down. I'm actually very curious about this now. But more than that I'm tired.
